About the project
The Hansen Company renovated Drake University library to meet the guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act, including modifications to restrooms, elevators, and door hardware. Updated finishes including painting, carpeting, and new ceiling systems were also installed. Exterior finishes included extensive window restoration of the 1965 addition. The project entailed 20 phases while keeping the library fully accessible to students and faculty, maintaining a business-as-usual atmosphere. This completed project was awarded the Marvin M. Black Excellence in Partnering Certificate for the partnering effort on this complicated project.
